Fansites are a treasure to hold dear. I owe much of my writing skills development to fansites. The first time I willingly started writing and took a passion for it was back in 2005 when I started playing Club Penguin and joined the teams of a few fansites. Of course, I was only five years old, and my writing was far from optimal, but still, it helped me understand how blogging platforms worked and how much dedication is required.

If there's one thing I love from fansites, it is how well they understand the value of visual content. Some of the best guides and website layouts I've ever seen are from fan sites, and it shows how long texts and years' worth of information can become a seamless experience if presented the right way.
